PNEUMOFLOAT Vertical Float Valve from SB Services in Bristol and Reading

PNEUMOFLOAT® Vertical Mounted Float Valve

The Pneumofloat is a buoyancy level valve – float actuated, the Pneumofloat is designed for vertical mounting in a tank or vessel through threaded or flanged pipe connections.  The compact size allows for installation in drums, tanks, totes, bunds and a variety of small vessels including sumps as shallow as 200 mm and as deep as 1000mm.  Able to be used in containers pressurised  to 2 bar. The Pneumofloat has a wide range of features that can offer a variety of application solutions.  The single valve mechanism is available in Normally Open or Normally Closed version with fixed differential. Can be linked to systems for pump control, high /low level alarms and duty / standby pump changeover

Operating Principle

The float follows the liquid level as it changes, causing the attached float magnet to move into the field of the valve magnet causing the valve to change position. Depending on how the Pneumofloat is manufacture the valve can be normally closed,  giving an output as liquid levels rise, or normally open, giving an output as liquid levels fall.
